Why would anyone be foolish enough not choose to be cryopreserved?
Why would anyone be foolish enough not to be cryopreserved. Your whole life you have been nothing more or less than the body you are made of. Throwing your body away like trash and pretending something goes somewhere else at death is witch-craft tom foolery, a pagan idea from an forgotten age. No you are where you are. Where your matter is. When you die as far as nature goes its just another day. If you let your particles seep into the earth or be scattered in the wind you will be reborn; just as you were born in this life. When you are eventually reborn as something else would you rather your ancestors choose what that form is or leave it up to random chance?
I’m guessing you didn’t have a choice before entering this life. By discarding your body you won’t have a choice what you are made into in the next life. And don’t be the dumbest guy in the room, you will be alive again — albeit with the memories and experiences of a completely different creature and no connection to your current self.
Perhaps you would like to come back as a cow in the future that future people will eat; just as you did. You have lots of compassion as you slaughter your meals, maybe it will be fun to be the meal for a change.
Get real, embrace the obvious, embrace science. You aren’t going anywhere you haven’t been before as a piece of stardust. Stay put and let those that come after you at least manage to make sure the matter that composes you is not accidentally thrown into a state of unwanted sentience.
Silence is golden. Death is like sleep. But to stay that way cryo-freeze. Come back as some thing only when the universe has mastered itself into a state of heavenly science based bliss.
